PhD Student - Information Sciences @ UIUC

2022 — present

My primary research applies text mining, data science, and machine learning to the study of U.S. literary history and literary regionalisms. I have accompanying interests in book history, bibliography, and print culture. I’m also interested in digital humanities pedagogy. I also teach IS312 Reading & Writing Data.

MA Literary Studies - English Department @ Washington State University

2020 — 2022

My MA thesis was titled "The U.S. Local Color Corpus (USLoCo)". I also taught undergraduate English courses there. I also earned a Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities.

MFA in Creative Writing - English Department @ University of Nevada, Las Vegas

2014 — 2017

My MFA thesis was a novel titled "They Knew Full Well". Upon graduation, I was hired as an adjunct faculty member at UNLV, teaching undergraduate English classes until 2020. In that time, I also had a career at Bauman Rare Books.
